NCIRE has an opportunity for a part-time Data Analyst to join a study conducted by UCSF faculty at the San Francisco VA Medical Center to examine the relationship between traumatic brain injury, posttraumatic stress disorder, and other mental health disorders in Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans.

The Data Analyst will be responsible for managing and securing all study data. The incumbent will create SAS and/or Stata from raw data and write data analysis programs. In addition, the Analyst will conduct advanced statistical analyses including longitudinal analyses using logistic and linear regression, survival analyses and repeated measures analyses and will be expected to provide written reports to the Principal Investigator.

The ideal candidate will have:

• MA/MS in related field

• Previous experience in clinical research including developing data collection and management systems (e.g. MS Access)
• Experience performing programming and data analyses
• Experience working with VA datasets highly preferred

• Programming experience in SAS and other statistical software packages (e.g. Stata)

• Experience with logistic regression and regression techniques for longitudinal data, including repeated measures
• Factor analysis and structural equation modeling experience preferred

• Experience and ability to work with large national administrative datasets

• Adherence to data security and HIPAA requirements
• Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and priorities to achieve desired goals

• Ability to work under minimal supervision

• Ability to meet deadlines

• Strong accuracy and attention to detail
