Manhattan based leading Media Monitoring Company is currently seeking a full time Linux Administrator.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Routine systems administration functions
Assist in administration of server farms at hosting facilities
Configure and manage performance monitoring tools and notification/alerting services
Configure and tune high availability Linux systems
Undertake various housekeeping and reporting functions for the areas of responsibility, including maintenance of shared resources
Compose, edit and maintain internal documentation for operations team
Respond and rectify system outages
Ability to be on 24×7 rotation call to respond to site outages and emergencies
Participate in product deployments, upgrades and maintenance
REQUIREMENTS :

Capable of working in a disciplined manner in a very relaxed atmosphere
Travel to hosting facilities across US
Strong virtualization skills XEN, VirtualBOX
Understanding and configuration of Cisco ASA, PIX
Hardware / Software load ballancers (HAProxy, Coyote) is a plus
Apache
MySQL
Strong scripting in Bash and PHP is a must
Nagios
