The Henry M. Jackson Foundation (HJF) is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst for the U.S. Military HIV Research Program (MHRP) located in Rockville, MD. HJF provides administrative and management support to MHRP.
The U.S. Military HIV Research Program (MHRP) is dedicated to HIV vaccine development, prevention, disease surveillance and care and treatment for HIV.
HIV-1 continues to pose a significant and persistent threat to the U.S. military and allied forces both in terms of readiness and force protection. The brisk pace of deployments to locations throughout the world requires the MHRP to develop products and capabilities with an international scope.
This program builds on the strength of the U.S. military medical research community, and addresses specific HIV research requirements to meet its mission: prevention of HIV-1 disease in the active force and, by extension, the global community at risk of infection.
Responsibilities:
1. Validate user’s work, track defects, provide feedback to users and managers, perform defect analysis, and identify process improvements and/or training gaps.
2. Define and implement processes necessary to assure production of quality products.
3. Monitor, measure, and evaluate the processes for the purpose of making those defects free.
4. Assist with pre-live audits for conversions by reviewing the requirements document and analyze compared to plan set-up to determine if it was executed accurately.
5. Lead testing efforts of all technology upgrades and systems changes to identify any
defects. Identify and utilize necessary resources to plan and execute product / UAT test plans and test scripts.
6. Maintain testing / defect methodology documentation and associated work product templates.
7. Plan, design and execute Product / UAT test plans / test scripts.
8. Identify Product / UAT testing goals, time lines, milestone schedules, and metrics.
9. Act as a liaison between Conversions Teams and IT to facilitate communication of new products or enhancements.
10. Assist QA Manager with Information Technology quality assurance strategies and processes for Foundation headquarters as well as assisting Foundation supported programs in their quality assurance and validation efforts.
11. Completes other projects as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong knowledge of and experience with the quality assurance planning of systems development lifecycle; general knowledge of FDA regulations (21 CFR part 11) and GxPs. Demonstrate ability to adapt to and learn new technologies required.
Experience with developing test plans, schedules, and scripts. Operational knowledge of recordkeeping systems strongly preferred. Experience with developing and executing quality control measures. Experience with test applications (i.e., Test Director). Must possess strong oral, written and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of document control; excellent organization, computer and communication skills; ability to handle multiple priorities
Minimum Education/Training Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or
Information Technology or equivalent experience
Minimum Experience: 2 to 4 years experience in software testing and quality assurance
