Development Engineer 8-10 yrs of experience (JAVA)
Software development JAVA, responsible for working on multi-disciplinary end-to-end solutions including the design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and operations of large-scale web-based systems. Strong experience in software engineering, architecture, design, and development. Knowledge of JDK 1.5 and web-based applications (e.g. Tomcat, Apache) is a plus. Under general direction, conceptualizes, designs, constructs, tests, and implements portions of business and technical information technology solutions through application of appropriate software development life cycle methodology. Interacts with the customer to gain an understanding of the business environment, technical context and organizational strategic direction. Defines scope, plans and deliverables for assigned projects. Collects, identifies, defines, and organizes detailed user and information technology requirements. Coordinates and collaborates with others in analyzing collected requirements to ensure plans and identified solutions meet customer needs and expectations. Confirms and prioritizes project plans and deliverables with the customer. Participates in business and technical information technology solution implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and conversions. Understands and uses appropriate tools to analyze, identify and resolve business and/or technical problems. Applies metrics to monitor performance and measure key project criteria. Prepares system documentation. Establishes and maintains security, integrity and business continuity controls and documents. Participates in special studies, marketing efforts and for- mal proposals. Stays current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies.
Experience with Spring & Struts preferred
Experience with Java J2ee, Oracle, and any ERP/Back office development experience will be helpful.
Java web 2.0 or Ajax also a major plus
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
Masters Degree preferred.
