Sage Software has an exciting position opening for an experienced senior mobile software engineer. This position is on a platform team that provides mobile capabilities for multiple software applications in a global market. Responsibilities will include enhancements of an existing rich CRM application for BlackBerry and Windows Mobile devices, as well as R&D and development of exciting, new mobile capabilities for the latest handheld devices and phones.
Responsibilities
- Analysis, design, implementation and support of product features, focusing on mobile client applications and delivery of content to mobile devices
- Collaboration with in-team members, as well as other development teams adopting our frameworks/toolkits in a global environment
- Strong focus on testability, maintainability and scalability of delivered features
Required Skills and Qualifications
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent professional development experience
- 2+ years experience developing native applications for BlackBerry and/or Windows Mobile
- Able to work well as a member of a team, utilizing complex technologies
- Able to pick up and understand new technologies/frameworks quickly
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Experience developing web applications/content for mobile devices
- Extensive knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and XML/XSL/SOAP
- Experience exposing application functionality through Web Service APIs
- Experience working within an Open Source development environment
- Experience delivering software for an international market
- Experience delivering software in a cloud or on-demand environment
- Familiarity with source control environments such as SVN and GIT
- Strong understanding of database technologies, with ORM experience a big plus, especially with Hibernate/NHibernate.
