Purpose (Summary): Ensuring software and hardware products live up to the high quality standards of Cambium Learning Technologies, meet or exceed the expectations of users, and meet or exceed the expectations of the general market for similar products.
Essential Job Functions:
1) Testing of software and hardware products to evaluate quality and completion of said products
2) Following up on Technical Support escalations involving software and hardware products
3) Working with Engineering, Documentation, and Technical Support teams as needed
Additional Job Functions:
1) Imaging Windows and Macintosh QA lab machines and installing software and hardware.
2) Working directly with customers on occasion to help diagnose and solve technical problems
3) Ability to prioritize tasks and triage issues based on complex severity determinations
NOTE: No relocation assistance available.
Required Skills and Abilities:
1) 2 4 years of experience as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer
2) Experience with Windows (XP, Vista, and 7) and Macintosh (OS X 10.x) operating systems
3) Experience with defect tracking systems
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
1) Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline
2) Experience working with scanners or other hardware devices
3) Some experience with automated testing tools
