We are looking for a .NET / Web Developer to support the company’s multiple business units and trading groups through internal sources. The general responsibilities of the position include overseeing production processes; developing tools (Javascript, VB Script and PHP), enhancing and maintaining web applications utilized by the departments; developing and maintaining system documentation; and assisting in the installation and integration of third-party software upgrades. This person will work under the direct supervision of a senior manager within the Chicago office.

Your responsibilities include determining business requirements by meeting with team members, business unites and trading groups. Other duties include testing and releasing modules to minimize rollout risks. We are looking for someone who can communicate effectively with team members and internal customers to resolve issues associated with daily production and supported systems. This is a newer group within the company, so there is multiple opportunities for growth.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent.

• 1+ years experience with relational databases, MS SQL Server is preferred.

• 1-2 years of experience working with the following: Javascript, VB Script, JavaScript, HTML, PHP.

• Understanding of basic accounting principles and trading/financial industry (exchange traded products, basic operations).

• Ability to collect and translate business requirements into deliverable solutions.

• Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to produce a high quality of work.

• Ability to creatively solve problems, question assumptions and articulate ideas.

• Self motivated with an inquisitive mind and strong desire to learn.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in and contribute in a team environment.
