Job Overview:
Join the team of innovators at Concur, one of the leaders in the SaaS industry, as we build the next generation itinerary and travel tools for business travelers. We are looking for bright engineers who can build modern user interfaces, use web services to integrate with travel suppliers, design mash-ups and portals, serve data to mobile devices, and utilize caching intelligently.

Responsibilities:

  • Write awesome code.
  • Use test driven design methods to ensure top quality.
  • Design sophisticated computing systems.
  • Create design documents and diagrams.
  • Use version control systems effectively, including an understanding of branching.
  • Participate in group design sessions.
  • Analyze existing code and designs.
  • Debug applications, as needed.
  • Always learn new techniques.
  • Utilize bug and enhancement tracking software and process.
  • Manage time effectively.
  • Seek out and also perform code reviews.

Position Requirements:
Education, Experience & Training required:

  • BSCS, BSEE, or equivalent years of work experience.
  • 4+ years in a related software development role.
    • 2+ years professional experience developing modern web-based applications utilizing JavaScript, databases, and server side coding.
    • Experience with databases and SQL.
    • Recent experience developing B2B or consumer products.

  • Ability to pass a background check.

Job Specific Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

  • Understanding of web services and the HTTP protocol.
  • Experience with ExtJS, YUI, Prototype, or equivalent is a plus.
  • Microsoft SQL Server experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft tools and platforms, including ASP, .Net, C#, IIS, is highly desirable.
  • Experience using XML and XSL transforms is desirable.
  • Experience with object oriented programming languages such as Java, C++, C#, or Objective C, is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software development tools and process.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems.
  • Effective communication skills, focusing on presentation of technical information.
